Las Vegas Country Club
The Las Vegas Country Club is a private and elite equity membership club built by Marvin Kratter of Nevada Equities in the 1960s, which is now the favourite hideaway of celebrities and professional golfers.
The Club boasts of a 18-hole exquisitely manicured traditional golf course designed by the legendary Ed Ault, a golf shop, six indoor and outdoor tennis courts, racquetball, a clubhouse, a swimming pool, a gym that is equipped with state-of-the-art cardio and weight machines, dining area, men's and women's lounges, member bar, barber and manicurist, manhood grille and banquet facilities.
The golf course was finished in 1967 while the clubhouse, in 1968.
The Club underwent several ownership turnovers since is construction in the 1960s. From Kratter into a Strip hotel named Bonanza and later into the four partners of Realty Holdings namely Moe Dalitz, Harry Lahr, Nate Adelson and Irwin Molasky.
The group of Dalitz afterwards sold the Club into 40 of its members who made it as an equity kind membership, which still is until now.
The golf course underwent a major renovation to rebuild all of the greens, bunkers and tees complexes and also to replace its 20-year-old irrigation system with Architect Mark Rathert doing the new layout.
The golf course has undergone a facelift but still retains the traditional appearance and playability.
The clubhouse of the Las Vegas Country Club boasts of contemporary amenities such as a Jacuzzitub, sauna, and an indoor exercise room, pro shop, men's grill, women's card room, snack bar, shoe store and barber shop.
